About the UCSF Secretariat

The Lancet Commission on malaria eradication is a joint endeavor between The Lancet and the Global Health Group at the University of California San Francisco (UCSF), which serves as the Secretariat and convening body of the Commission. Co-chaired by Professor Sir Richard Feachem, Director of the UCSF Global Health Group, and Dr Winnie Mpanju-Shumbusho, RBM Partnership to End Malaria Board Chair and former Assistant Director General – Malaria, HIV, TB, NTDs, WHO. The Commission engaged in a rigorous consultative process, which included three Commissioner meetings:

  • Steyning, UK, May 7 – 10, 2018
  • Santa Cruz, CA, US, October 24 – 27, 2017
